By placing an order with The Blackyou agree to these terms. They're written in plain language on purpose.

Orders & payment

Checkout and payment are processed securely by Stripe; we never store your full card details. Prices are in US dollars. Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout. Pricing and availability can change without notice, and we may cancel and refund any order we can't fulfill — if that happens you'll hear from us by email.

Shipping

Free shipping, every order. Orders leave the shop within 5 business days and you'll get tracking by email when yours ships. We currently ship within the United States. If a package arrives damaged or goes missing, email us at hello@theblackob.com and we'll make it right.

Returns & refunds

You have 30 days from delivery. Items should come back unworn, unused, and in the condition they arrived in. Email hello@theblackob.com with your order number to start a return — no forms, no phone tree. Refunds go to the original payment method once we receive the item, within 10 business days. Return shipping is on you unless the mistake was ours, in which case it's on us.

The stuff itself

Product photos and descriptions are as accurate as we can make them, but some of what we sell is vintage, hand-printed, or otherwise one-of-a-kind — small variations are part of the deal, not a defect.

Our content

The Black name, logo, sign, artwork, photography, and the writing on this site belong to The Black. Don't reproduce them commercially without asking. Asking is easy: hello@theblackob.com.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. The site is provided as-is; we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Orders are governed by the terms in effect when you placed them.
